Dr Holly Bradley
When Dr Holly Bradley isn’t in the jungle with sloths or helping save an endangered lizard out in the middle of Western Australia, she spends her spare time writing fiction. Holly is both a writer and a conservation biologist, who focused her PhD research on better understanding the ecology of the Meelyu. She has a keen interest in connecting with the community, particularly children, and sharing the importance of conserving our fascinating wildlife.
Darryl Fogarty
Darryl Fogarty was born in Mount Magnet, Western Australia. His parents were part of the local Aboriginal Peoples called Badimia People, and Darryl is now a Badimia Elder. His father passed on knowledge about Meelyu, their family totem lizard. Darryl’s family are not allowed to hurt or eat Meelyu and the Meelyu must always be looked after.
Corinne Fogarty
Corinne Fogarty is a Badimia Yamitji woman who grew up spending time exploring Badimia barna where her imagination ran wild and her creativity flourished. Corinne holds a deep love for nature. She has found it so rewarding, building a relationship with her totem, the Meelyu, through supporting her dad, Darryl, with his storytelling.
