Lemon Myrtle is the highest natural source of citral, the compound that gives lemons and lemon grass their distinctive scent. The dried leaf of the Lemon Myrtle has a free radical scavenging ability and makes a wonderfully therapeutic tonic as it has germicidal powers and has been used as an anti-septic, anti-viral, calmative, sedative and corrective.
Use 1 teaspoon (3g) of tea per cup. Pour in boiling water and let it rest for 1 minute if you like your tea natural, or 3 to 4 minutes if you add honey, sugar or milk.
