The Protector #2

In our culture we believe our sacred waterholes are protected by a giant water snake (Guidja). When we visit these sacred waterholes, we have to throw sand in so that Guidja can smell our scent and won’t harm us. But if a big wind comes up then he is not happy, and we need to leave or we could get sick.
